Success Sunday: Keenann!

This week's Success Sunday is none other than Pastor Keenann Knox, pastor at Impact Church. Keenann and I have been working together for almost two years. Additionally, this past summer, I've had the pleasure of working with Keenann's two teenage sons. It's been a blast seeing the three of them interact together, challenging Keenann to train even harder!

What initially motivated you to start working with a personal trainer?

I've tried working out by myself but didn't know where to start nor did I have a plan to go by. I just trained what I felt I wanted results and didn't understand how it all worked together. I couldn't do 1000 crunches to get a six pack.

What has been your biggest success since starting?

My energy and strength have increased and my body shape has changed dramatically year over year.

What is your exercise routine like?

5 days a week. 3 days lifting and 2 days cardio or circuit training.

What kinds of nutrition changes have you made?

NO MORE GATORADE OR SODA. eating more for fuel and less for just cravings.

What do you consider the most important thing that you do that has helped you to be successful?

Stayed faithful to my schedule and be an active listener to my trainer. I remain prayerful and meditate on scriptures which encourage me.

What advice would you give to other people with similar goals?

People who want real results must invest in their plan. Whether it's a personal trainer who is attentive and knowledgeable like Sarah, gym membership or apps like my fitness pal all would be a benefit. Also getting a handle on your eating and managing what you eat and how much you eat will go a long way as well.
